PLANS MAY BE CHECKED OUT ON THE FOLLOWING BASIS
ALL PLANS CHECKED OUT MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 3 DAYS MAXIMUM
Checkouts are on a First Come First Serve basis, HOWEVER no member will be allowed to reserve plans more than one day in advance. (We will put aside plans for your pick-up the same day.)
When checking out plans, each member MUST Sign the Plan Checkout Card for each set of plans they wish to remove from the office.
Weekends---plans checked out after 4:30 p.m. Friday evening are to be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. Monday evening.
No member will be allowed to check out more than three sets of plans at one time.
A LATE FEE MAY BE CHARGED FOR PLANS CHECKED OUT LONGER THAN 5 DAYS WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION
PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS BEING SUBMITTED FOR BIDS
All plans and specs being submitted for bids to the OB-CRS are subject to the following:
1. All members will be emailed notification with in 48 hours of plans arriving for bid in the plan room. If you have either a fax machine or a computer that can receive e-mail, you will be notified with in 24 hours.
2. If a general wished to leave plans, “Under the Counter” and contact his/her own subs to come in to bid the job, this request will be honored provided that his/her subs comply with the rules and regulations for the use of the plan room. Non-members may NOT check out plans.
3. An approximate job start date will be required for ALL plans left with Owner Builder Center.

CODE OF ETHICS
Preamble
A. An integral part of Contractors Referral Service Code of Ethics is a requirement that all members adhere to the applicable provisions of the licensing laws, the Business and professions Code, and any other statute pertaining to the building and construction industry as established by law.
B. As a member of the Contractors Referral Service, I agree to abide by the procedures listed and to preserve the integrity, honestly and principles of the construction industry.
C. The Owner Builder Contractors Referral Service will not condone intentional violations. The Professional Ethics Committee will investigate violations and recommend to the Board of Directors the measures to be taken against violators. Members are asked to report violations to the Manager who will bring them to the attention of the Committee.
ARTICLE IV-MEMBERS
GENERAL MEMBERS l---Shall be a contractor holding a California contractor license, and such other firms that have direct construction industry relate license.
GENERAL MEMBERS ll---May be such others who have a direct or indirect affiliation with or interest in the construction industry, such as architect, engineer, building designer, or material manufacturers or suppliers whose primary business is to service the construction industry.
**Members shall, at all times, have on file with Owner Builder Center a written and duly executed designation of the person or persons who are authorized to bid on behalf of, or represent the member in connection with the affairs of that company or organization.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Since this is a Membership Organization, only members in good standing with the Owner Builder Center will be allowed free use of the plan room.
As a courtesy to our members, we will allow non-members to use our facilities only at the specific request of a member to bid a plan that our member is bidding. This use will be restricted to only the plans our member is bidding.
Only members of the Owner Builder Center will be allowed to check out plans and specs.
All plans must be returned to the plan room personnel. DO NOT give them to anyone else, since your name will be the last one on the check out sheet you will be held responsible for that set of plans.
