The Contractor's
Bidding Service is a free consumer service providing
one-stop shopping for your building or remodeling
needs. Drop off a set of plans and we will notify
all our members within 48 hours, of your specific
project needs. The contractors and suppliers will
send bids directly to you. Our bidding service is an
exclusive group of licensed contractors and
suppliers.
Our members are required to carry
General Liability and Completed Operations
Insurance, as well as Workmen's Compensation
Insurance. The California Contractors Board only
requires that they carry Workman's Comp.
Without General Liability
Insurance you, the owner, could be sued and held
liable for damages to a third party caused by the
acts of one of your subcontractors. Most home owners
insurance policies will not cover faulty work or
materials. Without "Completed Products and
Operations Insurance", you will have to rely on the
good will of your subcontractor to fix any faulty
work. Think of the damage that could be caused by a
leaky roof or a pipe connection which bursts.
